Jesus Arrived!

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Gal. 4:4-5

For today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

Why did Jesus need to come?

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man (Adam), and death through sin, and in this way spiritual death came to all people, because all sinned. Romans 5:12

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. I John 1:8

Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified (made right) by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! Romans 5:7-9

God’s Heart (He came for YOU):

For God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. II Cor. 5:19

For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”

Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Hebrews 9:22

A gift isn’t enjoyed unless it’s received.

So, faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of God.” Romans 10:17

Repent (Change your mind) (Go in a different direction) for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Matthew 3:2

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God – children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. John 1:12

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trust in him will never be disgraced.” Jews and Gentiles are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Rom. 10:9-13
.
For if, by the trespass of the one man (Adam), death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man (Adam) the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man (Jesus) the many will be made righteous. Romans 5:17-19

But don’t I have to do works? (How would you ever know if you did enough?)

Know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So, we too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified (made right) by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. Do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing! Galatians 2:16, 21

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8 & 9
